I love circus people. Specifically the Bindlestiff
Family Circus people. And more specifically yet, the Bindlestiff
circus women. I feel faint. I think I'm in love.
Went to the Buckaroo
Bindlestiff's Wild West Gender Bender Jamboree last nite at the
Present Company
Theater. I'd heard a lot about them, but had never gotten around
to seeing them. From what I understand, this show was a bit more
tame than previous seasons (no flame throwing penises or plate spinning
vaginas), but to me, no less jaw-dropping. And -yes- there were
boobies.
I won't bore you with a labored play by play, blow by blow account,
but I will ask you to consider this: Why aren't there more circus
people in the work place? Imagine a contortionist, hula-hooping
designer. A fire breathing, acrobatic creative director. A sword
swallowing, whip cracking project manager. A knife throwing receptionist
precariously dangling by her feet from a corde
lisse trapeze.
Think about it.
