ballpark. All the visual and auditory and olfactory cues are
coming together splendidly to create an enveloping climate
of baseballness. The grass is fantasy green. Barbecue smoke
drifts past the old warehouse. A resounding THWOP reports
the arrival of a fastball in the catcher's mitt. Fans chatter
